We are currently seeking an experienced, performance driven Mechanical Engineer (PE preferred) to join our growing organization.
Requirements of Position Offered:
Independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on multi-faceted projects.
Acceptance of increasingly responsible roles in the management of projects, and the application of intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards
- Take a leadership position in the conceptualization and development of new, innovative products for use in Subsea, Oil/Gas, and related industries.
- Incorporate design concepts from schematic design into design development and final production drawings.
- Perform and verify calculations using engineering formulas and skills.
Initiate and communicate design recommendations, adaptations and modifications.
- Develop and enhance satisfactory customer relationships to ensure growth in existing and new business for the company.
- Attend and participate in project coordination meetings with customers as required.
- Attend and participate in internal project coordination meetings as required.
- Maintain currency in all professional developments.
- Manage multiple projects, non-routine projects, sometimes unforeseen projects with efficiency, speed and accuracy.
- Assist Designers and others, as directed, through technical instruction and clear explanation of engineering design concepts.
- Carry out other projects and duties that may be assigned as conditions warrant.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, from accredited university
Licenses
Professional Engineer preferred, not required
Experiences
Minimum seven years in engineering design, preferably in Subsea, Oil/Gas, and/or elastomers
Skill Sets
- Demonstrated excellence in communications, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to work effectively in a diverse environment
- Demonstrated flexibility, resourcefulness, and stamina to successfully manage the inherent load fluctuations of our business
- Proven ability to deliver quality products as scheduled and committed
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Ability to use AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks as drawing and production tools
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
