One volunteer will be assigned to a technical session room during their shift. Fourteen volunteers are needed each day. The volunteer will meet in the Speaker Ready Room at Reliant Center one hour before the session begins (0830 or 1300) to be briefed on changes and will pick up and deliver author and session chairman gifts prior to start of session. Morning shift time is 0830 - 1200; Afternoon shift time is 1300 – 1630. REGISTRATION Volunteers will serve as greeters to answer questions and instruct registrants to complete forms and proceed to registration counters. If registered in advance, proceed to Pre-Registered kiosks. Registration Volunteers will be assigned to the B, D & E Lobbies and the Arena. Thirteen volunteers are required for each shift. Morning shift time is 0800 – 1200. Afternoon shift time is from 1200 – 1500. STUDENT ACTIVITIES Student Activities Volunteers act as tour guides for the students in the exhibit hall. The OTC Staff will contact Houston-area high schools and coordinate scheduling for the tour. Volunteers should be able to walk extensively during this time. The shift on Thursday is 0800 – 1330. Due to increased security all volunteers must have their badges prior to the first day of the event. Badges and parking passes will not be mailed. No one will be allowed in the Exhibit Hall without a proper badge.
